Hello everyone reading, my name is Ebony Smalls. 

Why am I making this Blog?

I am a student at Monroe Community College and I am majoring in Communications and Media Studies. I am concentrating on the Journalism side of Communications, so one of the courses I am taking this semester is Principles of Journalism. Starting a blog is a good way to help not only build a portfolio but get accustomed to writing articles and news blogs. So for an assignment for the Principles of Journalism course, students are to start a blog and publish blog posts frequently. 

What will I be writing about?

I decided to write about what I am interested in, which so happened to be art and literature. As someone who makes art, writes and reads, I thought it would be appropriate to create this blog centering around things I know.
